HELLO, EVERYONE IM 19 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE A COMPLICATED LIFE. I WAS JUST THINKING TO MYSELF HOW DO PEOPLE SEE ME. LET ME START OFF BY SAYIN I WAS BORN WITH HIV. AND OTHER THINGS BUT THE MOST THING I WORRIE ABOUT IS LIVING WITH HIV. I BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH IN MY LIFE. I WAS ADOPTED WHEN I WAS 15 YEARS OLD AND VERY HAPPY WITH MY FAMILY. MY MOM HAS DONE SO MUCH FOR ME AND MY LIL SISTER. BEING SICK MAKES MY LIFE VERY HARD TO BE A NORMAL PERSON. SO I DECIDED TO ASK PEOPLE HOW WOULD THEY TREAT ME AN WOULD THEY BE MY FRIEND BECAUSE THEY FEEL SORRY FOR ME OR JUST BECAUSE IM LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WHO JUST HAVE SOME MEDICAL ISSUES. I JUST WANT THE TRUTH. SOME TIMES I FEEL LIKE PEOPLE JUST FEEL SORRY FOR ME AND I DONT WANT THAT CAUSE I LIVE A NORMAL LIVE LIKE AVERYONE ELSE IN THIS WORLD. I GO TO SCHOOL AND I HAVE A JOB I HAVE FRIENDS TOO. I JUST WANT SOME OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHTS.

It depends on the kind of people you meet. Some people will just be your friend just because they are sorry for you; other may just really like you and think your cool. You should definitely tell people near the beginning and watch their reaction. Me personally, I try my hardest not be judgmental or sorry for people. I'm definitely not sorry for being who are handling their own and enjoying life to the fullest. I don't know you very well, but I can tell you I would be your friend based off your personality.

To tell the truth, im really intersted in medicine and even though I wouldn't need to know that you have HIV. I wouldnt. Really it isn't necessary information. SO you can tell whoever you want that you have HIV. Its up to you. In the medical field we are taught that we dont need to know if someone has HIV we just dont. So if the people that are treating you dont need to know, than no one else needs to know. And regarding me: if i knew or i didnt I wouldn't treat you different. Cause out of the over 2000 students in my school atleast 40 have hiv and i dont really care. and i dont ask.

I'll also be your friend. The fact that you have HIV doesn't matter--it doesn't change who you are as a person. I definitely agree with Maeriah that we all deserve someone special. :)

I will be your friend. && I realize you feel like people just feel sorry for you. But dont care what people think. Peoples opinions of you shouldn't matter. Your opinion of yourself should be the most important.
That was very brave of you to ask a question like that. I respect you for it as a person. I congratulate you for bein for who you are as well.

HEY I'll be your friend don't worry about what other people say. I think it's pretty cool the way you deal with this all. Just keep your head held high and don't care what people think. i applaued  you most people with madical conditions just give up but you dnt
